Kingsford E.S. PTA Committees

There are many committees in need of members and chairpersons. If you have great ideas or just a few minutes, please consider joining a committee. Our children need your support!

Advocates and attends meeting on behalf of KESPTA at the PGCPS Board, MD Dept of Ed., and in the community.

Facilitiate discussions and programs to support improved parent or guardian communications and involvment in school activities.

Assist in maintaining budget and balance of books, seek quotes and pricing for various events, vendors, etc.

Create guidelines for website maintenance, create contents of website, set up emails for PTA board members and general membership, maintain website, upload documents, checks reports and status regularly, and market website to various venues.

Assist with publishing the KESPTA Newsletter and Updating Facebook content

Responsible for communicating with and coordinating community outreach and classroom events.  Works closely with Advocacy Committee and School Improvement program.

Plan and execute opportunities to secure funds for PTA programs and activities throughout the year.

Search for grants and create partnerships with local and large businesses to help support KES PTA and the students of KES through donation of goods, services, and/or funds.

Responsible for refreshments at all general membership meetings, events, and programs and for the Teacher Rewards program

Establish and maintain relationships with local communities, county officials, community leaders, local churches, etc. to increase our membership and involvement.

Seek parents interested in running for office and committee chairs for the following year.  Assist in campaigning efforts, and transitioning between outgoing and incoming board.

Coordinate various programs to enhance the academic curriculum for the students
